Education
and Outreach

YSL is not only recycling and creating benches but also educating our community about sustainability. The team has been invited to teach sustainability to underserved youth at Neighbors Helping Neighbors and at the Tiger Woods Foundation’s TGR Learning Lab in Philadelphia. Both organizations will receive a bench, which will illustrate how plastic can be recycled and repurposed. As part of the West Philadelphia Charter Elementary School’s Save the Earth Community Fest, the YSL team will be teaching 80 kids, aged 6-9, about sustainability through lessons and interactive games. The kids will understand and learn about the importance of recycling and incorporate better recycling habits into their daily lives.
